Every story has a beginning, and Obi’s started in a very uncertain place. As a young puppy in Atlanta, Obi and his family faced a frightening situation that not all of them survived. Against the odds, Obi did.

 

When we brought him home, he carried those early fears with him. But what happened next is the part that matters most: with steady care, patience, and unconditional love, Obi began to heal. Day by day, he learned to trust, to play, to wag his tail freely — and he grew into the joyful, loyal, sometimes silly dog who fills our home with laughter.

 

Obi’s journey is what inspired me, as an author and a mom, to share his light with children. His story reminds us that even when beginnings are hard, love has the power to shape us into something wonderful — and that’s the heart behind every adventure in the Obi the Dobi series.
